News 12/10 - Silicon molds with fingerprints of medics were used in frauds in DETRAN.

Psychologist and owner of clinic are restrained under suspicion of fraud against DENTRAN (National Transit Department).

According to the police, they frauded the driving license emission system. Silicon molds with medics' fingerprints were used to access the system.

The psychologist and clinic owner that offered medical exams for driver license cards were restrained friday (12) in São Paulo. They are suspects of frauding the transit department system of São Paulo.

According to the police, the psychologist signed the psychotechnical exams approving in name of the DETRAN-certified doctors. To access the system, they used a silicon mold with the medics' fingerprints.

"We are investigating if the doctor was also taking part. If she had any relation to this crime she will be promptly fined", explains DETRAN's deputy Roberto Zampieri.

The owner of the clinic testified and denied the charges. Three students were taken to the police station to testify. "My exam was cancelled, so I was chosen to talk about the topic. I am one of the victims, this is complictaed." said Ricardo Dainez.

The drivers that took the medical certificate will have their licenses blocked and will have to go through new exams, The clinic, located in Campo Limpo, south of the city, is closed. The doctor suspect of having involvement was heard by the police and was freed later.
