ACURA is one of the winners of the XVII Automation Award from GS1

The Automation Award (Prêmio Automação in portuguese) is a ceremony established in 1998, to honor entrepreneurs and institutions that foster innovative projects in automated processes in Brazil, following the technological GS1 standards. This important event brings together companies and organizations who underwent transformations as a national reference when the theme is innovation management and entrepreneurship. Winners are part of the 55 thousand partners of GS1 Brazil.

In 2014, the event was held at HSBC Brazil, and ACURA, was one of the winners of the Seventeenth Automation Award, and received the trophy for participation in the Project EPC / RFID Application in Brascol in partnership with iTag.

About Brascol project

The Brascol is the largest wholesaler and distributor of juvenile fashion of Brazil, in the market for 25 years. The mega wholesale offers its customers exclusive lines of children's footwear, bedding products, bath and table linen, underwear, swimwear, underwear pregnant fashion, plus accessories, children's toys and perfumes.

The challenge was to reduce operating costs, reduce the time of clearing goods and accuracy in inventory using RFID technology conference. The solution was to use UHF tags on products and RFID readers to identify the products placed in shopping carts. Handheld readers to streamline the verification process inventory and conference items inside boxes coming from suppliers. With this automated system avoids misplacement of goods, human errors, improves security, streamlines inventory replenishment and logistics processes and products.

The tag was applied to products already on the supplier. When you arrive at the store, checking the merchandise is made through the AT-870 UHF reader that identifies the items contained in the boxes by the approach of the reader, thus speeding the process of the material received conference. When customers take the products off the shelves and put in the stands, the products are checked boxes by AT-870 reader streamlining the purchasing process and after the purchase, the carts pass through the portals that give the reader the merchandise through EDGE-50 that identifies products by associating them to the customer avoiding error and streamlining the logistics process by 65% bringing wellness to clients.
