ACURA Global was represented in the event by it's engineering team including Ricardo Kimura and Paulo Jarbas. A feature of the event was the Metal Skin tag — an inlaid tag of extremely low profile and the flexibility to adjust itself to curved surfaces — such as the contour of metallic cylinders and barrels. The Metal Skin tag is globally compatible with the EPC global, UHF Gen2 and ISO 18000-6C protocols, with the versatility for a wide range of product authentication applications and the tracking of IT items. In addition the technology is used for global tracking of shipping items and anti-counterfeiting of valuable items such as medical supplies. The Metal Skin tags can be converted into tags of different sizes from standard tags to tags made for specific processes and equipment. Logomarks and bar codes can also be printed with standard RFID printers.

Another featured solution observed in the event was ThingMagic's Gen2, UHF Trinity reader, which follows the severe environmental operation norms required for use in trucks and vehicles with integrated GPS/GSM/GPRS.

It is ideal for installation in a wide variety of imbedded applications, especially in the sectors of transportation, logistics and security.
